O Graffiti é uma técnica de Arte Urbana difundida inicialmente nos Estados Unidos, nos subúrbios de Nova York, posteriormente, vindo para o Brasil. A arte do graffiti atualmente é forte influência visual em grandes cidades, sendo possível observar diversas intervenções entre regiões periféricas, suburbanas e áreas centrais. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar essa técnica tão popular no Rio de Janeiro, atrelando-a aos conceitos de subúrbio, pertencimento, resistência e afeto, possibilitando, através da Oficina de Graffiti, que os participantes possam se expressar enquanto aprendem a técnica de forma didática neste encontro presencial, na ESDI.

Graffiti is an Urban Art technique initially spread in the USA, in the neighborhoods of New York. It was afterward, coming to Brazil. The Art of Graffiti is currently a strong visual influence in big cities, making observing various interventions among central and other areas possible.

The idea of this project is to show this very popular technique in Rio de Janeiro, connecting it to concepts of belonging, resistance, affection, and suburbs, allowing the participants of the Graffiti Workshop to express themselves while learning the technique in a didactic method during this on-campus presential meeting, at ESDI.
